By becoming a Friends of the Durham Library member at any level, you are contributing to the wide variety of the Durham County Library programs that the Friends support!
All Friends members are entitled to:
- exclusive early entry to in-person book sales at the Books Among Friends store
- the Best of Friends E-Newsletter, which includes information and updates about programs supported by the Friends, as well as access to the Best of Friends archive
- regular emails containing information about programs supported by the Friends
- information about volunteer opportunities with Friends of the Durham Library and the Friends Board
- an invitation to join the Friends of the Durham Library Board’s annual meeting each June

Annual Individual Memberships
- Individual Membership: $15
- Senior Membership: $10 (Valid for members age 65 and older)
- Youth Membership: $5 (Valid for members age 18 and under)
Patron Member
Patrons are among our most valued Friends members. By becoming a patron, you truly show your support for the Durham County Library and the programming the Friends support by contributing above the minimum level required for an annual membership. Patrons at every level receive full membership benefits and an option to be listed in our online Patron Directory. Patrons have an option for one-time payments or automatic renewal and can opt to change their membership level annually.

- $25 (Valid for family members living at the same physical address)
Lifetime Member
Show your commitment to the Friends of the Durham Library by purchasing a Lifetime membership! Lifetime members make one payment of $375 and are never bothered with renewal payments or notices again. Lifetime members receive full membership benefits and an option to be listed yearly in our online Patron Directory.
